I made up this recipe for a D&D game because one of the characters’ favorite foods is chili and I wanted to make a type of chili that he would’ve eaten. This isn’t intended as a historically “accurate” chili recipe, but it is a historically-inspired chili recipe using mostly ingredients that would have been available to and used by people in medieval England, which is one of the inspirations for the area this character is from. The exceptions to this are chili powder and potatoes. Chili powder since it's chili, and potatoes since I thought that would be tasty and our GM said that the region of the setting did have potatoes.
